1. the perfect bean for your taste

The foundation for perfect coffee is laid by the coffee bean. There are about 800 different coffee flavors and here someone has to find the right one once. Here we recommend finding the general flavor category: Sweet-fruity, chocolatey or nutty-spicy. Just take our coffee quiz right here! Once you have found a direction, you can filter by the three categories at coffeechecker.com and find other similar coffees.

2. quality of the beans

Coffee beans, like other foods, vary in quality depending on their origin, storage and processing. If you want to enjoy a well-prepared coffee, you should only go for excellent quality. As the end consumer cannot always see how the coffee is actually produced, one thing is particularly important to us at Coffee Checker: high-quality beans from selected roasting plants. This guarantees the highest quality, which is personally checked by our baristas.

3. water

Water is the main component of your coffee and therefore an essential part. The hardness of the water should not be underestimated when preparing coffee and should ideally have 8°d and a pH value of 7.0. Special filters, such as for example one from BWT filters tap water quickly and easily. However, if this is still not enough, still mineral water can also be used for the preparation.

4. cleanliness

For optimum coffee enjoyment, the coffee machine must also be cleaned regularly and, above all, thoroughly. Cleaning naturally depends on the type of preparation; a fully automatic machine, for example, often has automatic cleaning programs, while a portafilter requires more manual work. The more thorough and regular the cleaning, the longer you will enjoy your machine and the better the coffee will taste.

5. time & pleasure

Finally, two points that make every coffee even better: Time and enjoyment. If you have a quiet afternoon, you can find tips and tricks for your favorite preparation method in our blog. But time and enjoyment are also important when drinking coffee: take your time and try to taste the aromas of your coffee (you can also consult the coffee description in the Checker). Consciously taking your time – when preparing and drinking – makes a big difference.
