Winter coffee cocktails with Hiebl liqueur

Wintertime is the perfect opportunity to indulge in a special drink. Why not with coffee cocktails that combine the best coffee with the unique taste of Hiebl liqueur? In this article you will find two delicious recipes: Floating Santa and Latte Caramel Deluxe. Whether for the holidays or a cozy evening, these drinks will bring winter into your glass!

Floating Santa

Ingredients

Für den Drink
30 ml Rum-Caramel Likör – Destillerie Hiebl
30 ml Espresso
30 ml Schlagobers
Optional: Zucker nach Belieben

Für die Garnitur
etwas Schlagobers
kleiner Schokoladen-Nikolaus

Preparation Floating Santa

  1. Prepare espresso – Optional: For more sweetness, add a little sugar to the fresh espresso and dissolve
  2. Allow the espresso to cool
  3. Lightly whip some whipped cream to use later as a garnish
  4. Carefully “head” the chocolate Santa Claus so that the head can be used as a decoration
  5. Pour the rum, espresso and whipped cream into a shaker with ice cubes
  6. Shake the mixture vigorously and then strain into a glass
  7. Place a dollop of whipped cream on top of the drink and carefully place the chocolate Santa’s head on top: The Floating Santa is ready!

Tip: Other light and small sweets can also be used to decorate the whipped cream.

Latte Caramel Deluxe

Ingredients

30 ml Whiskey Sahne Likör – Destillerie Hiebl
60 ml Espresso
ca. 250 ml Milch
Optional: Karamelsirup nach Belieben

Preparation Latte Caramel Deluxe

  1. Prepare the espresso fresh and sweeten to taste with caramel syrup or sugar
  2. Froth the milk together with the whiskey cream liqueur until it has a creamy consistency
  3. Pour the milk foam into a heat-resistant serving glass or cup
  4. Wait until the solid milk foam separates from the hot milk – a visible dividing line forms between the foam and the liquid in the glass
  5. Carefully pour the espresso into the center of the glass. The coffee should flow through the milk foam and settle at the bottom of the glass to create the typical latte layering: the Latte Caramel Deluxe is ready!

Tip: The firm milk foam should be stable enough to serve as a base for coffee beans, chocolate chips or caramel shavings. So you can go wild with the decoration!

The liqueurs from hiebl

The Hiebl distillery stands for the art of distilling at the highest level. With a great passion for processing the best raw materials, Georg Hiebl pursues the goal of preserving the character of the fruit in its purest form and concentrating it in fine brandies. The result is a perfect harmony of color, aroma and taste.

Creativity and innovation characterize the work of the distillery. Georg Hiebl has made a name for itself with an impressive range of over 100 brandies and liqueurs – from classic to extraordinary. The multiple award-winning products reflect the philosophy:

“Unique variety with outstanding quality.”

Cream whisky liqueur (18% vol.):
Creamy, mild and with a fine whiskey note – this cream whisky liqueur is perfect for cold days. Its velvety aroma and pleasant alcohol content make it the ideal companion for cocktails or simply on its own as a dessert treat.

Rum Caramel Liqueur (25% vol.):
Intense, sweet and seductive – the Rum Caramel Liqueur impresses with a harmonious combination of spicy rum and delicate caramel. With its strong taste and light sweetness, it goes perfectly with winter drinks.

The coffee

Espresso Giuseppe from Caffè Gemelli is the ideal basis for winter coffee cocktails. Its typical Italian character with complex acidity and balanced bitterness ensures a harmonious interplay with the creamy and sweet liqueurs from Hiebl.

The dark aromas of fine chocolate in the espresso complement the cream whisky liqueur perfectly, while the slight hint of lime and the strong base balance the rum caramel liqueur wonderfully. In combination with the liqueurs, Giuseppe remains present in the taste and gives the cocktails an intense, full-bodied note – a real highlight for connoisseurs!

The cocktails are designed for espresso, but can also be prepared using the fully automatic machine’s strongest setting. Strong filter coffee or coffee from a mocha pot are also conceivable. The coffee component should always taste aromatic and strong so that the coffee flavor is not lost.

The perfect coffee cocktail enjoyment in winter

Whether as an eye-catcher on the festive table or a little treat for yourself in between, the coffee cocktails will put you in a festive mood! You can also refine the cocktails with cinnamon or other spices for a Christmassy touch.

As a garnish, we tried serving the floating Santa in the chocolate Santa himself. However, depending on the Santa Claus, caution is advised here – our Santa leaked! It would be better to reinforce the inside of the Santa Claus with melted chocolate and chill it. You can even “glue” the Santa’s head back on with the whipped cream and it will look like a white beard.

Would you drink your cocktail from a chocolate Santa Claus or would you prefer a classic glass or cup?

Enjoy the cocktails!
